"I've been going to Chapeau since I moved to San Francisco. The food is consistent, flavorful and perfectly decadent. The service is always top notch and chef/owner Philippe's animated presence turns the experience into an unforgettable one. The escargots stand out. They're done in classic Burgundy style with garlic, parsley and butter and served with crusty bread to soak it all up. If I find myself in the Inner Richmond, I'll snag a seat at the bar just for some escargot and a glass of Ricard."
