Good chefs aren’t corner-cutters, but they are fans of anything that makes it easier to do what they love.  


There are few things as satisfying as the countless small victories bolstered by using non-stick cooking spray— a perfect sear on a delicate protein or, the flawless lift of a cake from its pan. By that point, anyone awash in the happy fog of culinary success may not think about the type of cooking spray they chose to get the job done. But they should.
 

Cooking (and home cooking in particular, where your everyday audience is less likely to Yelp your performance) is about the journey and not the destination, and all those little in-between steps matter. To do it right, every ingredient requires attention, especially the foundational ones like cooking spray, making great meals possible. Forget one step and the whole soufflé’s coming down like a slow-motion Jenga defeat.  

Transparency in sourcing ingredients has become the defining feature of today’s culinary age, and PAM is no exception. “New PAM Spray Pumps save consumers from the struggle of choosing between easy non-stick cooking, and cooking with ingredients that they trust,” says PAM brand director Brett Castle.

We put the new, non-aerosol Canola Oil and Olive Oil sprays to the test, challenging chefs like Nelson German (of Oakland’s alaMar Kitchen & Bar) and Olivia O’Neal (of Austin’s Sugar Mama’s Bakeshop) to show us how they use PAM at home. We’ll be releasing six new videos just in time for the holidays, accompanied by custom recipes using both oils across the sweet and savory spectrum for you to recreate.
