Chef Kristen Essig reviews Brie de meaux sandwich at
"A solid sandwich! It’s the only one I ever order. Thinly sliced ham, lots of butter, brie de meaux cheese all on a Bellegarde Bakery (best in the city!) baguette. Down to the dressing on the salad, the Dijon vinaigrette, just doesn’t get any better."
Chef Maribeth del Castillo reviews Charcuterie board at
"While it may be unhelpful to hear that everything on St. James' menu is worth ordering, it’s undoubtedly true. My personal favorites are the charcuterie board and the cheese plate, which both change daily. The offerings are exquisite in their simplicity. They typically feature meats from spots like La Quercia and Creminelli, and cheeses from artisanal dairies, complemented by spoonfuls of chutney, caper berries or fresh fruit—and always served with beautifully baked French or multi-grain breads."
Chef Nick Martin reviews Ploughman's Lunch at
"This is sort of a random selection of cured meats they sell in-house, but it is just a very good thing. They also serve a side of bread, mustard, pickles, and a big wedge of cheese, and everything is really flavorful and really good. It is one of those dishes you can keep eating and trying different flavor combinations. There's a lot of meat to try, so it's enough food for two people to split."
