Chef John Sundstrom reviews The Phoenix at
"Well worth the trip over to West Seattle, Bakery Nouveau is like a mini vacation to Paris or Vienna when it comes to impeccable desserts. I like to go decadent and have the Phoenix, a triple-layered mousse cake with pear, chocolate, and caramel mousses, pecan and chocolate cake layers, all covered with caramel glaze. F---ing great!"
Chef Lisa Nakamura reviews PB&J macaroon at
"This is pretty freaking delicious. I like it because macaroons are traditionally very French, yet there's this American twist to it that I think is very lovely. Often when you get macaroons, it's difficult to get much flavor from something so small, and it doesn't live up to its assigned flavor, but this one definitely did!"
Chef Mark Fuller reviews Croque monsieur at
"It's cheesy, hammy and compiled on their homemade bread. It's a great sandwich and one that I am lucky enough to have within walking distance of my restaurant! Make sure to get there early, since they tend to run out quickly on weekends."
Chef Jason Franey reviews Parisian macaroons at
"These macaroons are melt-in-your-mouth good. They're a little bit sweet, but the sugar is what makes the texture so great. It's super soft, and Bakery Nouveau offers a ton of different varieties of flavors. They're just amazing."
Chef Jason Stratton reviews Ham & cheese croissant at
"I'm so glad the new shop opened on the Hill. I ate this in about one minute, no shame. It's the perfect breakfast!"
