About Maya Lovelace

Maya Lovelace brings honest Southern flavors and soulful storytelling to Portland, OR. Her pop-up Mae stacked awards over four years (Eater Young Gun 2016, Eater PDX Chef of the Year 2016, JBFA Rising Star semifinalist 2017 and 2018, Zagat National 30 under 30 2017, StarChefs rising star 2018) and she opened her first restaurant, Yonder, in 2019. She specializes in real deal fried chicken, heirloom southern recipes, and finding those sweet spots where food and love collide.
