It started in 3rd grade when my school Librarian inquired about my interest and I responded cooking. Needless to say in the 1960's there weren't any cook books in the public school library. So, Mrs. Cook gave me a cook book from her own collection. I remember the cover like yesterday. The title Betty Crocker,written in script with a large decorated cake that covered most of the reddish-orange cover. I was so happy, I felt like I won the grand prize on Wonda Rama. I couldn't wait till Saturday to make something- anything! That Saturday, I decided to make donuts, hence flour,butter,eggs and spattered oil all over the place. I created small oval shaped, very brown Donuts that didn't look very similar to the one in the Donuts shop. Some laughed but my brother Jo Jo ate them and asked for more the next week. Fast forward I continue to collect cook books,visit grocery stores and local markets. I love to entertain and share meals. My secret ingredient in all my recipes is passion to create the ultimate-delicious meal. Favorite meal begins with a delicious piece of fried chicken and ends with a slice of sweet cold watermelon. Yum!
