About Namratha Rao

While most people eat to live, I live to eat!! Like any connoisseur of great food, I experiment with and cook different kinds of dishes. However, I specialize in Udupi cuisine. Udupi is a small town in the state of Karnataka, India, which boasts of a plethora of delicious vegetarian dishes that are not made anywhere else in India. Though I was born and raised in Bangalore, the capital of Karnataka, my parents hail from Mangalore, a coastal town close to Udupi. So I was lucky enough (and so were my friends who would invite themselves over and help themselves to my mom's cooking!), to grow up relishing the delicacies that only denizens of Udupi and Mangalore make. It is my deepest desire to bring the food of my people and share it with you! And so, it is with great pleasure that I bring to you, from the sandy shores of Tulunadu, "Rao’s Adipill", committed to bringing the best of vegetarian Udupi/Mangalorean cuisine to you. P.S: I believe in the mantra “Less is more” when it comes to the use of oil in my food. So, you can always eat guilt free!! Remember: A full tummy is a happy tummy!
