Olivella's

The Story: Since 2008 Olivella’s has been serving up some of the best Neopolitan and Roman-style wood-fired pizza that Dallas has to offer. They’ve since expanded into five locations around the city, meaning it should be easy as pie to fit a visit into your itinerary.

What to Eat: Our experts highly recommend the Pizza Diavola with Housemade Mozzarella, Marinara and Jalapeños as the Pizza San Daniele with Housemade Mozzarella, Marinara, Prosciutto and Arugula. Their Chicken Parm and Cold Italian Sub sandwiches are also great lunchtime choices.

What to Drink: Imported Italian wine varietals or draft beer.

The Vibe: a casual family-friendly bistro with additional outdoor patio seating in the warmer months.

When to Go: They serve lunch and dinner seven days a week, with hours varying daily, so check before going.

Fearing's

The Story: Chef Dean Fearing is considered one of the Godfathers of Southwestern Cuisine. His flagship restaurant, Fearing’s, located inside the Ritz-Carlton offers up nouveau steakhouse fare with Southwest accents thrown in for good measure.

What to Eat: Our Experts say the Apricot Barbecue Glazed Lockhart Texas Quail for that well balanced sweet and savory bite that Chef Fearing has become known for. The Barbecued Shrimp Tacos for a mix of Texas and Baja flavors also make for a great lunch choice.

What to Drink: Whatsoever your heart desires, this is the Ritz-Carlton after all darlin’.

The Vibe: A posh dining room with exposed brick, copper Mica light treatments, cozy-looking banquets and cushy high backed chairs with ample room for your derriere.

When to Go: They’re open daily with breakfast, lunch and dinner service. Whether staying at the Ritz-Carlton or no, you may be in competition with other guests, so reservations come highly recommended.

CBD Provisions

The Story: CBD is a modern Texas eatery located within The Joule in the heart of Historic Downtown Dallas.  Their menus emphasize the farmland bounty and culinary traditions of Texas, adding contemporary touches to old favorites. Their chefs and bartenders are committed to sourcing ingredients from local and sustainable vendors, and pride themselves on making danged near everything in house.

What to Eat: Our Experts recommend the N'duja Pimento Cheese Toast and the Berkshire Pig Head Carnitas.

What to Drink: The Sage Mezcal Cocktail with Pineapple and Lime is a smokier, herbaceous alternative to a Margarita and gets high praise from our Experts. They also have a fun collection of local microbrews on tap, and a thoughtfully curated wine cellar featuring high-end domestic and imported varietals.

The Vibe: A modern brasserie with high ceilings, good lighting, and an open kitchen.

When to Go: CBD Provissions is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner seven days a week. We suggest hitting up their Happy Hour from 4-6 p.m. during the week, when their signature cocktails are half off.
