"Oh my god, burnt ends (before they were trendy)! These melt in your mouth. Large slabs of brisket are blackened to perfection, so no knife is remotely needed. But I am a sides girl, and these are exactly what you would expect: simple and chock full of flavor. I love me some corn casserole, and theirs is sweet, creamy, and so not light. And hello, pea salad! If it’s done right, it’s wrong on every level (mayo and onions out of a can—yeah, I said it), but I love it."
