"There are plenty of reasons to go to Vernick; it’s a great addition to the city’s scene. Last time I was in, my girlfriend and I shared the strip loin among other things. It comes out in a massive clay dish straight from the wood-burning oven, perfectly medium rare, crusty from being baked in salt, and juicy as any steak I've ever had. Greg chars lettuce, leaving them a little crunchy, and serves it all with a simple lemon squeeze to bring it all to life. This is the best steak in Philly."
